A viewer of my YouTube channel sent in a question about how to send audio from mic to GarageBand to OBS for live streaming or Zoom calls, and whether it’s best to incorporate Loopback or not to make it happen.

Original question:

I just want to send out sound from GarageBand (which has been enhanced with effects) to OBS and sometimes to Zoom or Facebook live. What steps do i need to take (I would imagine that in GarageBand my output should be sent to Loopback and that in OBS my input would be Loopback. Is this correct? And if so, how to do it?
