Organize Your Thoughts
Have some discussions and brainstorming sessions with your staff/team about what they’d like to see. Take notes, draw a picture, pick some colours and collect it all together for our first meet ‘n greet.
Draw a Line in the Sand
Writing out a project brief can help everyone understand where we are headed. Things like budget, timeline and overall objectives are great ways to narrow the focus of a creative project and know what the end result should look like.
Working Digitally
We really believe that the internet is the next big thing. So we’ve dumped our telegraph machine and taken up email, Basecamp, Freshbooks, Skype and other web applications to be more efficient.
Milestones
Just having a deadline for the entire project doesn’t help if everything slips right up to the due date. That’s why we set milestones within the project, along with corresponding payment terms (typically 25% at the start of the project, 25%-50% at milestones within the project and then the final 25% upon completion of the project).
Child Labour
Not really. Just an excuse to post a picture of our kids. Aren’t they cute?
